| I am venturing away from my work on abandoned buildings in my upcoming exhibition, Pretty Bird. I have been photographing taxidermied birds at the Nova Scotia Museum of Natural History.These "study skins" were never intended for display so they lack the fake eyes, however, personalities are still somehow expressed.
The "wallpaper" backgrounds are created using symbols and shapes translated from various tales of folklore and mythology surrounding the individual bird.
Displayed in vintage oval frames, these portraits are both attractive and sombre. |

| I will be talking about my exhibition, No Vacancy, currently on display at ViewPoint Gallery. The talk will take place at 2pm at 1272 Barrinton Street. Admission is free and so is the coffee.
